Shipping, Delivery Service & Returns

1. SHIPPING
We ship your order via Post NL or DPD as standard. Please note that orders placed after 16:00 on Friday cannot be delivered before Tuesday. For different wishes regarding shipping you can contact us by email with our customer service or by telephone on 036 540 1933.

1.1 Shipping costs (in EUR)

For shipping to remote areas (for example, the islands in NL) a surcharge may be charged (based on actual costs).

1.2 Letterbox post
When a (small volume) order can be processed as a letterbox post, Animalis is free to choose this method of shipping (this option is not offered in the web store and is always at the discretion of Animalis). Any overpaid shipping costs will be reimbursed to you. Amounts in EUR.

Unfortunately, envelope shipping abroad is no longer possible since January 1, 2020 due to a change in international regulations. Goods can only be sent as a (traceable) package.

1.3 Shipping exceptions
Please note, extremely heavy items such as cat litter can only be delivered / picked up in Almere / Alkmaar and will not be sent (this is indicated in the items). Frozen items are also excluded from shipping!

2. DELIVERY SERVICE
The fixed delivery days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (may be deviated from in consultation), the orders are delivered between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

2.1 Almere and Alkmaar
In Almere (postcode area 1309 to 1363) we deliver free of charge when spending more than 15 EUR. If the total amount of your order is lower, we will only charge you 2,50 EUR per delivery.

In Alkmaar it is also possible, in consultation, to have your order delivered to your home, but in that case it may take a little longer for you to receive the ordered items.

If you want to have your order delivered in Almere or Alkmaar, you can simply place your order through the web store, which will (if available) be delivered to your home at the next delivery round. You will always receive a confirmation when you can expect us.

2.2 Region
It is possible to have your order delivered to your home outside Almere / Alkmaar but within our service area (free with an order from EUR 50, otherwise we charge EUR 5 per delivery).
Our delivery area includes at least the following places: Baarn, Bergen, Biddinghuizen, Blaricum, Bussum, Dronten, Eemnes, Heerhugowaard, Heiloo, Hilversum, Huizen, Koedijk, Langedijk, Laren, Lelystad, Muiderberg, Naarden, Schermer, Sint Pancras, Swifterbant , Zeewolde
If your place of residence is not listed but you live somewhere along the route between Almere and Alkmaar or in the immediate vicinity of Almere or Alkmaar please contact us to discuss the possibilities! 

3. RETURNS ("right of withdrawal")
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return an item to Animalis within 14 calendar days.

There are some exceptions that cannot be returned or exchanged:
- redeemed or completed (gift) vouchers;
- articles that are used, damaged or incomplete;
- articles that are sterile packed (such as mucous pistons, food syringes, probes, etc.) and whose packaging has been opened;
- frozen items.

3.1 Costs for returns
The entrepreneur reimburses all payments made by the consumer, including any delivery costs charged by the entrepreneur for the returned product, without delay but within 14 days following the day on which the consumer notifies him of the cancellation. Unless the entrepreneur offers to collect the product himself, he may wait to pay back until he has received the product or until the consumer demonstrates that he has sent back the product, whichever is the earlier. The entrepreneur uses the same payment method that the consumer used for reimbursement, unless the consumer agrees to a different method. The reimbursement is free of charge for the consumer.

In other words, within two weeks after receiving the (sufficiently stamped!) Return shipment, we will refund you the amount of the order, including the original shipping costs (if the entire order is returned).

If it is more than two weeks ago that you sent something back and the refund is still not credited to your bank account, it is best to contact our customer service.
